You can really make a difference at Connectis. When you’re given an assignment, you’re free to think up and select the solution you think is best. We have a very open atmosphere: there are plenty of opportunities to discuss our work, which we enjoy doing. We work on intellectually challenging projects and strive to simplify complex issues.
No such thing as ‘kind of safe’
As a mathematician, I like it when something is quantifiably good or bad. Data security is also binary: a system is safe or unsafe. There is no such thing as 'kind of safe'. Sometimes customers don't like it when problems are diagnosed. Connectis, on the other hand, actively encourages this. What we do is comparable to the introduction of mobile phones: before, no one had a mobile phone. Right now, no one has a safe online identity. We're working to change this.
Meaningful contribution to society
What I like is that our software usually proves to be the best. We offer better solutions and higher quality at lower prices. You also see the challenges we face in the news every day: passwords being stolen, systems being infiltrated, sensitive data being made freely available. For us, safety comes first: we deliver safely, or we don’t deliver at all.

New challenges
I have been interested in identity management for a while now. I was able to put my knowledge into practice when I worked for Europe’s largest education federation. For seven years I worked with thousands of links and over one million users. Here at Connectis, I’m faced with new challenges in the field of user experience of privacy and safety.
Appreciation and encouragement
Connectis is a young, small company. I like that it’s a professional organization but still has an informal work environment. Connectis appreciates and encourages employees’ own initiatives, even if they don’t quite fit your job description. Because Connectis is still small, I can really tell that my contributions count.
Major player
The developments in DigiD, eHerkenning (eRecognition) and eID offer companies many opportunities, both in the Netherlands and overseas. One of our products, FederateNow, is an amazing platform with a lot of potential. Connectis gives me the trust and responsibility I need to develop the product into a major player in the international market.

Natural passion for software development
I have a real passion for software development. It came naturally to me, and continued to grow during my time as a student. Even then I was interested in using IT to improve processes, and it's something I still do every day at Connectis, particularly in the field of safety and authentication.
Millions of people using your work
I love it when our systems go live. You can see how well your product works when millions of people use it. Many companies and government bodies use our software, which means we have a lot of responsibility. For example, we were the first company operational with eRecognition. It’s amazing when something like that goes live.
Connectis is capable of great things
We're specialists. Identity management and access management are common discussion topics, but expert knowledge on the subjects is hard to find. We offer this expertise. I definitely believe that working in an up-and-coming field is an advantage. We're market leaders: even though we're a small company, we're a big player. We can do great things. Our aim is to be the best and stay the best. Our employees' contributions are the key to reaching our goal.
